Even though I took a break from dance I always still loved to do it. Freshman year during the homecoming pep rally I saw the dance team and I decided that was what I wanted to do, and that is what I did. In the spring I tried out for dance team. Coming into the tryouts was very intimidating. A three day clinic is held at Lane and the last day is tryouts. After school I got ready with my friends for tryouts and going up the stairs to the adventure gym I could see all of the people trying out. There were about 90 boys and girls trying out for the team. I felt nervous because I had to tryout against all of these different people. The clinic days went by and some people left so numbers started to die down.

We have already done halftime routines for football games and that has been an amazing experience. It such an amazing feeling dancing in front of a full crowd with the best team ever by your side. I look back and I am so glad that I decided to try out for dance, I don’t regret it one bit. I was nervous to perform in front of the judges but I conquered my nervous fear. I feel like I have grown from then, and I will continue to grow on this time throughout the years to come. This time has given me a chance to make new friends, doors to be opened, and of course,
