I first ask myself, what is the difference between a leader and a follower. A follower will just jump on the bandwagon, a leader is the one driving the wagon. Whether this be towards success or failure. Stepping up from being a follower in the past to being a position of vice president made me realize that the leadership isn’t always as easy as following. Throughout my years of FBLA I have noticed a lack of leadership when I was a follower. I decided to step up and gain a leadership position within my chapter. I had plans in mind that needed addressing and improving. Once becoming an officer, I learned how difficult it was to get everyone within my chapter to work towards common goals.
