I was slumped over my computer as I tried to do my semester project over the scorching summer heat. It was mid-July in the year 2025, just years after World War III started. It was over some new nuclear substance in Alaska. The U.S wanted to destroy it so it wouldn’t cause an international problem. North Korea ,an old enemy of the U.S, basically snatched it from under the Americans’ noses. Fists were thrown, words were said, and the war basically started then.

Anyway, I was trying to figure out an answer to a problem, when my younger sister, Rachel, bursted into the room. There was nothing much to say about her besides her bright red hair that seem to glow.

“Jack you have to see this!” she exclaimed grabbing my hand.

“This agreement states that Earth will fall into battle with the U.F,” he said as he glanced down at his paper.

I can tell that this treaty came up really quick since, it was obvious that he didn’t have time to memorize a speech.

“The U.F stands for Universal Forces,” he explained and paused to let the words sink in.

“I know,” i replied after a few seconds.

“Are you going?” she asked.

“No,” i said sternly.

“Aww, why not? she whined as she slumped deeper into the

I glanced at the t.v and almost choked. Rachel looked at the piece of vegetable i coughed out. on the screen was the meeting between the U.F and the all the leaders of Earth. RAchel noticed me watching and turned up the volume. There was twenty U.F members because they didn’t look like any humans on earth. On the other side facing the aliens were the leaders with a worried expression written on all of their faces.

“I do not see the original humans who wrote the agreement with us,” one of the aliens said as he surveyed the group.

“i regret to inform you that they had passed away,” said a middle asian man who i assumed was the leader of Korea. So, now old war enemies are coming to together now? i thought.

“i see,” the largest member of the U.F replied and started speaking to his companions. I walk next to the T.v straining to see if i can eavesdrop on the conversation. i couldn’t so i went back to the couch and sat down next to Rachel.

“i am afraid the agreement is off,” stated the leader of the U.F.

“what why?” all the leaders of Earth said in unison.

“Your life-span is to short for our liking,” replied the alien with an amused expression on his
