The Change Of My Life

My name is Annalea Swan but, I liked to be called Anna though. I’m a normal twelve year old girl living in the country and I live in California next to the Pacific ocean. I love to read on the beach while getting a tan. It was the middle of a wet day, perfect for shopping with my mom. My long dirty blond hair fluttered in my face covering my beautiful dark brown eyes as I walk to one of my favorite store, barnes and noble because they are having a sale today. I looked in a couple of clearance bookshelves until I went to the back of the store. There were so many historical books there. I rummaged through the books for a while. That's when I saw it. The book had a red leather cover with a mysterious picture. The picture was odd, it had a trident on it. I grabbed the book and started to wonder around the store looking for my mom. I finally found her in one of the clearance cookbook aisle. Her hair is brown and wavy, just longer than her shoulders. She smiles at me

We made it home and the house was just the same as we left it. The house has seven rooms but, they are very large rooms also, the house has only one floor. Three of the rooms are bedrooms; mine, my moms, and a spare for guests. The bedroom is lime green decorated with sea shells, dolphin figures, etc. My bedroom is by the bathroom There are three bathrooms in the house. My favorite bathroom is the kid bathroom; that bathroom has blue walls, white tiled floors, and doesn't look anything like a child's bathroom. Our living room is huge with beautiful tan walls and soft carpet. On the other hand my kitchen is old fashioned; it has an old table with an island table with a bunch of papers sprawled on the island table. I walked to my room which happens to be on the other side of the house. I walked tiredly to my bed and flopped onto my bed thinking about what to do next. My eyes started slowly to close and my head started to get heavy on my

A few transformations and developments about me over summer or maybe even the last time I thought about how much I have changed. One social transformation I went through would be a change of views on how I see the world, second would be my interest and hobbies, doing and liking things that I wouldn’t particularly thought I would even like or do. Lastly one thing that hasn’t really changed would be the love I have for my dearest mother.…

The living room had beige carpeting and a stone tile fireplace. There was a cream colored recliner in the corner of the room directly in front of the old-fashioned kitchen that Great-Grandma would sit in with her Golden Retriever Swish by her feet. The bedrooms were filled top to bottom with books ranging from fairy tales to "Pride and Prejudice". The reason that October third of 2012 was my favorite day was because I was never allowed in these bedrooms by myself because of the breakable pieces, and for the first time, while sorting through her stuff, I was able to see what all my great-grandma had lived through and…

It was the house I had lost my first tooth, learned to swim, and was the place I loved and felt the safest. I felt my heart crack like a bowling ball falling on a porcelain tile. The white, traditional, antebellum layout reminded me of my grandmother’s house tripled in size. It smelled musty and there was a film of rose perfume that lingered in the air. Dust surrounded the lining of the walls and antique vases were laid precariously throughout the houses. I wasn’t too fond of it at first as I myself am not too fond of change. I have always been one to stick to a routine that encompasses school, work, and time to hang out with my friends and family occasionally.…

There are approximately 397,000 children in foster care in the United States of America currently and I used to be one of them. However, foster had not even been near the forefront of my mind that summer. The summer before I started my first year of high school, I had plenty of anxiety about the tall tale I invented in my own mind that stood before me. Stories about how hard high school were numerous and often regaled on the crowded bus ride home by high schoolers who seemed to have the knowledge of every wise teacher in history combined. which that scared me to death; I had always held my position as a good student who followed the rules of my middle school.…

“A handful of moments I wished I could change, but I was carried away,” are the lyrics that remind a lot about myself. Growing up, and even about two years ago, I was insanely shy and did not talk much around people, friends, or family. The way I talked to people was in a timid, soft spoken way, which looking back, was awfully embarrassing. My friends and family would laugh at me because I could not talk well, and when I did talk, they acted as if I were a baby who just said its first words. With all of that nonsense going on, their idiotic response kind of made me not want to say anything anymore.…
