Championship Game

7th grade basketball we won all of our games except against Andover Central and Augusta, which we should of beat Andover Central, but Augusta all of us were sick and wasn't feeling good so that game didn't go well, it was still a close game though. We ended the season with a loss to Derby in the championship game, it was a dumb game but we should of won. Earlier that year we beat Derby both times and we destroyed them both times. We played Hutchinson and killed them so bad we beat them by like 30 points. We kill or beat all the other teams so bad like they were gonna die after we were done playing with them. The next school year 8th grade 15-16 basketball year we came and dominated the court we were beating team’s one after another we had lost against Andover Central and Derby. Andover Central got lucky and made a lucky game winning shot and beat us by one point we were so mad. We played Derby here at home (Chisholm). We lost by 3 points, we lost because once again Ty and Alex didn't pass the ball so it was really only them getting to take the shots. We played Hutchinson again and we beat them by about 50 points it was pretty bad. We destroyed every team from the Derby game and on. We played hard and practice hard. We got to see a Friends University basketball game then we went to CiCi’s pizza it was so good, we ate so much pizza we were so full it sucked by made us sleep on the way back home. We had more games and won them. It came to the tournament and our first game was against Derby North. We played them and beat them 58-34. It was a good game and we played good. Next game we played Mcpherson and we didn't do so good, or I didn't do so good, that game was trash but we still won against them 49-44. The next day at practice we worked our butts off practiced our shots and plays. The day after that we came to school

People coming from a different planet would think every day things we do in life are weird. What we have adapted to and think are normal look very weird to others who haven’t seen people doing things like this. Such as someone who has never shaved before would think that is very odd to shave your beard. Or someone who has never seen a drive threw would think it’s weird to have people have food handed out the window. As we think other cultures are weird we have to look at the fact that our culture is weird to others People that have never seen basketball would thing it is a bunch of people running around with a ball.…

I was playing lacrosse on a warm spring day in Glen Ellyn. I could feel my adrenaline spike, accompanied by my heart beating out of my chest. We finally had the ball on our side. Every second we had possession was precious as we knew the opportunities to score would be few.…

Although they had beaten us we thought we had a shot at beating them so at practice we worked the hardest that we had ever worked that…

So we prayed and the game started and we played nervously. My captain, Melissa dribbled down the court, looked to pass, and took the shot but missed it. Michelle also missed her fast-break lay up, and I missed my free throw. At the end of Quarter 2, it was like playing football because the scoreboard only shows 2 for Ipeka Tomang (my school) and 3 for Yadika. That indicates how much we are struggling the whole quarter never really score but a constant battle between getting and loosing the ball.…
