I walked up to the steer I was working with and pet him on the head, letting him know I’m friendly. He jerked in fright, and suddenly he turned his head and stared at me like a monster. So many large animals makes you feel vulnerable no matter how big you think you are.
I got to the state fairgrounds just in time to wash the cows. I’m not sure who washed who but it was fun. The steer was full of mud and straw and I was pretty sure we were gonna switch places since I was squeaky clean. I walked the steer over to the wash bay and tied him up. Deep down I was worried I was gonna get kicked, but he was gentle. So, I washed him and then walked him back to his stall.
I put him in his holder and proceeded to dry him off. Once I was done drying
