I joined the break dance team because it sparked my interest. The only problem with joining the break dance team was that I couldn’t be on the basketball team. I’ve always loved to dance. When I was younger and there was music playing, I would be dancing like there was no tomorrow. Being a freshman in high school, joining the break dance team was probably one of the best decisions I made. I spent four years on the team, and I don’t regret any minute of it. From performing in pep rallies, going to competition, and just bonding with the team, I’ve made memories that will last a life time. There were no other break dance teams where we went to competition so in a way, it felt as we were only competing with ourselves. Overall, all of the ups and downs during my time with the break dance was definitely worth it. Just like dancing, I’ve always loved the game of basketball. It was just something that ran in the family. Almost every day I would be playing basketball with my family. …show more content…

In the beginning, I was the one watching, but by my junior year in high school, I was the one teaching others. If I was to join the basketball team, I believe I wouldn’t have that leadership quality because I wouldn’t be in the position to enforce
