“Bye dad, got to go to school.” “K. See ya Tyler.”
Soon after I left, my dad got a call. The man said in a happy voice, “We’ve known Tyler, your hockey player for a while now. We had the raffle for skating on the Blackhawks ice, and the goalie couldn’t make it to the game. Since Tyler is a goalie, we wanted to ask if he wanted to come to the Blackhawks game with us.”
My dad was telling him with excitement, “Yes yes he would love to go! We will be there!” My dad yelled.
“Give me a call and I’ll give you the day. Goodbye.” My dad hadn’t told me yet because I was at school. I got home, and he said, “We are going to the Blackhawks game, and you’re gonna skate on their ice!” I was speechless. I couldn’t wait till that day.

They took our gear away, then there was a surprise for us. David Rundblad walked into the room. We all had giant smiles on our faces. We each got to talk to him, and we all got autographs from him. We were all very happy, but sad when he left. It was such a great moment.
Once we finished our game, we got to watch the Blackhawks play. I was with my family, and they were all very proud of me for my game. We sat down and started cheering. It was the end of the first period, and we were already winning 2 to 0. We got a juicy and fresh hotdog, and then sat back down. We were watching the game, then my favorite player scored once. Twice. “WOOOOOOOOO!” I yelled.
“YEEEEEAAAAH” my dad screamed. We were so happy. The game ended with a score of 5-0, and the Blackhawks had beat the Avalanche. I grabbed my hockey gear with enjoyment, and loaded it back into my car. I knew I shouldn’t give up. And since I didn’t, we tied the game.
