Personal Narrative: The Beach

It was a warm October evening and I just finished getting ready for my date with Willow my girlfriend.I hopped into my car and was on my way to her house. Turn on the radio and listen to chill beats of smooth Jazz radio station..

Within 15 minutes I was there. I sent the “here” text and she was outside within the minutes. WHo knew this would be the last time I see her beautiful face.
“Hey” She said entering the car giving me a kiss on the cheek
“Ready” I asked
“Yup”
And we were on our way. She turned on the radio like she did every time we were in the car. After changing the radio station about a thousand times she finally found something to listen to, it so happen to be our favourite song “The greatest by Sia ft Kendrick Lamar”. We were

“Nico i’m really cold.” She said faintly.
I was confused it was over 20 degrees outside who could she be cold. I looked down and I saw that a metal piece had her stomach and she was losing a lot of blood. . I started to panic so I ripped off my shirt and squeezed it on her stomach,to keep pressure on her stomach. I faintly heard the ambulance.
“Willow don’t worry the ambulance.” I said reassured

It was like my world came tumbling down.
“We tried everything we could but she lost too much blood in the field. I’m so sorry” He continued.
Nothing escaped my lips but an another sob. How could this happened I thought everything was perfect just three hours ago and now I have a dead girlfriend. It was because of the car I thought if only the car could have slowed, nobody would of been in this messed. As I thought my head turned I saw the person from the crashed. I walked up towards her engulfed with rage.
“How could you kill my girlfriend” I said threw my tears.
“I”m sorry that this happened but you weren’t the person who lost somebody today too.So i would mind if you could jus--” She broke into to tears. I can’t believe my anger got the better of me.I should've asked if she was okay.
“Hey I am sorry I yelled at you I didn’t mean to upset you.” I said sincerely
“It’s okay. We tried to hit the breaks but it seemed to fail. And we were just about to take to the shop too” She said thru her tears.
“Hey it was an accident. By the way what’s your name?” I asked
“Janelle, what’s yours?”
“Nico” I said.

“And the rest is history.” I told my 3 grandchildren
“Wow Grandpa that’s a really crazy story” Said the oldest
