It was a bright and sunny Saturday morning when I was headed to the park at 7:00 in the morning. My friend had just picked me up from my house to head to our last practice before our event. Our event was called, “The Battle of the Tribes.” “Battle of the Tribes” is an event where schools our the area compete with each other in creativity, games, and making skits. Our leaders double checked to make sure everyone brought their costumes and props. We ran our skit on last time before heading to the main event. We arrived at Silver Creek High School at about 12:00, plenty of time to practice and settle down. We had to check in around 12:30 even though the event started at 2:00.
