Personal Narrative: The Bathroom

"Okay. Thanks, I'll be back in a moment" I say, as I scoot my chair out from the table, and stand up. Then, as I'm almost about to walk out of the kitchen. A question pops into my mind, I stop walking. I look over my shoulder back towards Zach, who's still sitting at the table. "Hey Zach, one more question. Do you prefer your kind to be called werewolves, or shape- shifters?" I ask.

Zach looks towards me. "We go by either one" He replies. Now with my answer, I walk out of the kitchen.

When I open the door to the guest bathroom, I'm surprised by what I find, the theme for this bathroom, is under the sea.

With sea blue glass tile at me feet, I walk into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me. Once the door's closed, began to

All the walls are painted a light shade of blue, with bubbles, fish, and seaweed wall paper stickers, even the towels hung up on the towel wrack, by shower are green, like the color of seaweed. The bathroom looks very well done, whoever did the look must've known what they were doing, because this bathroom makes me feel like I've been transported into that movie Finding Nemo (One of my favorite movies by the way)

After I completely strip down, I make my way over to the shower. The shower looks kike it's made entirely of Blue Ballet colored glass, it looks glorious on the outside. The shower door as a wave like design on the front of it. I grab the handle, pull the door open, and step inside.

The inside of the shower looks even more glorious then the outside. Since all the walls are all glass, light filters in from all around me, I walk over to turn the water on, but I find a problem. I find the shower handle, but I don't see the shower head, which is odd. I step back a few steps, then on a whim, I look up. The shower heads are installed in the celling, so that all I have to do, is stand underneath.

I turn on the shower, and stand under the warm water fall coming down in front of me. The warm water instantly relaxes my muscles as it makes it's way down my back, allowing myself to relax and calm my

Once inside of the large bathroom, Jimin turns the tub on and waits until it's at a good temperature and doesn't scorch the hybrids skin, then lets it run until it's halfway filled. The photo “Mermaids Hate Plastic” by Benjamin Von Wong features a vibrant color scheme. The extremely bright blue and green colors help to lead the viewer's eyes to the mermaid laying on the floor. On a first glance the clash of the blue and green against the neutral tan color create an elegant background for the mermaid laying on the floor. The mermaid is colored with a very bright orange and violet to draw the eye of the viewer to the mermaid. Bottles create a illusion of an ocean, but upon closer examination it is clear that they are not one body but many little bottles.…

The memory of 126 Riverside Drive will always stay with me. The concrete in front of the apartment overlooking the park is separated into squares and covered in old gum and the occasional chalk doodle. You go up and stand on the single black concrete step and look up at the black marble and the silver 126. You walk in the clear glass door and walk onto the faded tile floor that goes from the bottom of the few lonely stairs through the next door and to the elevator. You feel the cold from the faded brass handrail and walk up the stairs to the buzzer with a list of all the apartments.…

Hidden inside the bathrooms of the DePaul Art Museum, Matt Nichols solo exhibit SomethingDivine is found amongst a slew of seemingly ordinary bathroom objects. By using the bathroom space to exhibit his work, Nichols explores the theme of expanding the gallery space into uncommon territories. By using the concept of high versus low brow art, Nichols work leaves the viewer questioning whether the art is part of the space or not. The exhibit offers a unique take on a subject matter but the some of the choices in presentation of the work could be improved on.…

My eyes quickly sprang open to the piercing sound of my inner com making a very scratchy yet high pitched noise, that I had never heard it make before. Almost like someone was screaming,or maybe something. In the background of that horrible noise it almost sounded as if someone was in the shower, I sleepily began to step down from my bed and saw that my sister was lying in her bed asleep. Slurring my words I yelled and asked "Savannah! Do you hear that?"…

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

Similar to how theater works, the setting sets the scene for a book. Authors use setting to let the reader picture what is happening; the more intricate a setting is the more a reader can visualize it. Authors also use setting to help the reader connect to the characters. JD Salinger and F Scott Fitzgerald both used detailed setting so the readers can picture where Franny and Zooey, and Gatsby and Nick are during the story. The setting plays an important role in how characters interact with each other, themselves, and the reader.…

The reading of the will was short. No relatives, few possessions, hardly any money. Most of it went to Laurel; the rest to a local charity.
