Personal Narrative: The Apprentice Program

Improved Essays
I have a older brother Kyle and everyone thinks I look like him. We both had long hair at one point but mom had to give us a buzz cut. Kyle is a sophomore in college… I guess it’s not college it’s called an Apprentice Program. The Apprentice Program is like a College but he says it is better than a college. He is a plumber and that is why he is going to Apprentice Program. He can not work by himself on the Job I mean job not the name Job, because he is not able to until he goes there 5 years of the Apprentice Program. He is on his second year of the Apprentice Program.
I have always loved my brother. When I was little I always wanted to be like him. Kyle would always ask me when I get into his truck are you ready yep are you sure you are ready

An experience that displayed my ability to mentor was during my time helping out at Columbus Elementary School. There was one boy named Presley and he had trouble focusing, so I often ended up at his table trying to draw his attention away from his peers and towards his work. He was struggling with math, subtraction specifically and heavily relied on finger counting to do any problem. After about two weeks doing number lines and tally marks, he greatly improved and no longer needed any help for simpler subtraction.…

During my internship experience, I learned a lot of things that I thought I knew but are misconstrued on. Many times I sat on my bed crying because it seems like everything piled on me at one time.…
