In America where most people are privileged and have opportunities that other people may not have in any other country. If you were to ask me what else is it they could possibly want? I would simply say the American Dream. This is the thing that everyone wishes for American or not. The American dream to me would be you with a happy family living a comfortable lifestyle. Three things could explain it all family, money, and happiness. People strive to have a life like this. In the 1990s, people wanted to live a life where they controlled something. So most likely if you had power you also had money both usually went hand and hand. Politically from 1992 to 1994, the democrats controlled the white house, the Senate, and the House of Representatives. Bill Clinton was the President in at the moment. To achieve your American Dream I would like to think you would need some type of education. In 1994 Clinton administration started to require all schools that get federal funding to take annual test 3rd through 8th grade testing math and reading. Bill Clinton passed the improving schools act increasing funds for bilingual and immigrant education, technology and dropout prevention. In the 1990s, thirty million of forty million school-aged children attended public schools. Then in 1993, Jones International University was the first to become completely online. Knowledge is power and power contributed to the American dream. When you have knowledge you’re then in a better position to get a better job. A better job will give you more money and more money soon leading to more power. People are in a social hierarchy divided into classes. You have your higher class, middle class, and your lower. The higher class being the richer and the lower being the less fortunate. What is the difference in an average American and a rich person?
