Empirical analysis of literature can be a strange denomination of fun while reading. Viewing literature for its structure and organization is the essence of what makes being a bookworm so powerful and worth the effort. The ability to surgically splice and dice novels into their core elements and placing them in an organized fashion so that they can be later compared and contrast to other similar list in an effort to claim the positive or negative notoriety of a piece of literature is hardly a ticket to the amusement park. However, despite the initial lack of positives when analyzing literature in such a way, the end result can be a satisfying nature of finding out a portion of a puzzle. This data can be collected under many titles: literary devices, media, diction, language, basically anything in the actual text is up for grabs.…
For a long time I've been trying to catch the infamous Monster named Mrs.Sanford. When I found the monster he made a big havoc and ran away so I couldn't catch him. Then there was a innumerable amount of my friends to help me capture it . When my friends we drove our cars to where the monster and the monsters friends were hanging out so, we get there and no one was there and then we saw the back door open and a gigantic backyard that led to where they were at. Then all of a sudden we hear a dialogue of people talking but, we didn't know where it was coming from.…
Sightings were beginning to be reported all across the country. A witness, in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, said that a large, hairy creature, walking upright on 2 feet, walked in front of his car. He said it was accompanied by another creature about 7 feet tall, covered by long, dark hair. It's arms came down below it's waist, but…
My music had somehow gotten through to the creature and made it aware of my situation. It urged me onto its back and I gave in without protest. Then all at once, it took off with amazing speed toward some direction I could not see in the darkness. I had to violently grab hold of the mane on its back much like one does when riding a wild horse. For hours it seemed the beast rushed on with no clear end in sight through the forest of darkness.…
The creature couldn't end in the open field. The prey glanced back three seconds fast. First second think about where the predator shall be, another second remind itself to keep on running, third second wondering where to go, to get away. The creature quick snaps its head forward, tripping, falling, into a bush. Thorns tear at his skin.…
Mock of Ray Bradbury’s T-Rex Description. Its large round body slowly ascended from the water, it turned to look at us. That look quickly became a stare. It's staring gave us an eerie feeling, a feeling of terror. It felt as if hours went by, everything around us felt as if it froze.…

All my life I have wanted to go on a mission trip to help mentor those in need. So when the opportunity came to go to Jicamarca, Peru I was extremely excited to be a part of the team being shipped off. Before going to Peru we were put through a “special” type of training. During this training we were taught what we were going to be speaking about, a skit, and a ballet dance. So when we went to Peru we would be ready for anything, at least that’s what I thought.…
My parents are from an impoverished country in Central America called El Salvador. Leaving their home has always been hard for them, but they had certain difficulties that made them unable to stay. They often told me stories of what it was like over there. They told hilarious tales about the work they did and described their home as a poor but beautiful place. Their eyes lit up whenever they told these stories and it was easy to see how much they miss it.…
, we heard something moving around on the roof, It hopped off to a nearby branch overhead, it was only a squirrel looking for some acorns. There was a faint noise to my right that my cousin did not hear so I nudged him and quietly told him about it. As the noise got louder and louder we quietly put our guns up and waited. A small doe walks out if the forest into the clearing and we both knew that it's not big enough to shoot so we lowered our guns back on the floor. Hours go by without seeing…
“You can start whenever you’re ready” The boy looked down at his pale, shaking hands, then up at the ceiling. Anywhere except for the man with the clipboard in front of him. They had told him that if he came here, they would leave him alone. He took that to mean no more blinding lights being shown in his face, no more fake smiles, no more lies. “My mom made me some sandwiches.…

“We’re going to DIE!!!” I screech at my mother as we sit on a grimy roadside curb, cars rushing out and into tunnels, ignoring our drastic plight. I strain my ears and faintly hear the squawking of colorful macaws and fatigued children. The parking lot behind us is itself the Amazon Rainforest. No; it is the Sahara: hot, monotonous, dry, and stretching forever.…
big bite of raw meat and I head off with my spear in one hand and my life in the other. I have been looking around for over four hours and I was starting to feel it. I couldn’t feel my toes or my fingers or my face for that matter. My eyes were watering and my tears were turning to icicles on my face. I knew that if I didn’t see something and fast I would need to turn around, and try again once I recovered.…
The Beast The feeling of being lost can be a horrible experience, especially in darkness. This stress is magnified when you realize you’re the prey of an unknown beast you cannot see; only hear its footsteps as it closes in. Author H.P. Lovecraft, in his short story “The Beast in the Cave” takes the readers through a tale of darkness and horror in which a man ends up disconnected from his tour group, lost in a cave, and then realizes he’s not alone. He then goes on to kill a beast with the surprising observation that the beast was half man-half beast.…
