Personal Narrative: The Air Jorda

My greatest passion is collecting and selling shoes. As a younger boy my brother came home from school one day talking very highly of a pair of Air Jordan basketball shoes. I decided to do some research of my own because which little brother doesn’t want to be just like their big bro? In the course of looking up and researching these shoes, I fell in love. My brother ignited a fire in my heart that could not be contained, thus I’d say that I have a burning passion for collecting and selling shoes. With any free time I had I would look at shoes and obtain as much information as I possibly could. I often found my family very agitated with me from the amount of babbling on and on that I would do, as they were not interested in my sneaker obsession. I grew ever so envious of collectors such as Kenny G (aka the perfect pair) and Mrfoamersimpson. Both of these men having collections upwards of two million dollars. I am passionate about shoes because they have a really unique history, you can make a lot of money selling them, and participating in sneaker events and meeting new people. Although I do love shoes, the game is changing, and many people are now becoming violent over shoes, no matter the price, there is no pair of shoes is worth more than your life.
