Improved Essays
Problematic, product of a meddlesome act, ashamed, and embarrassed. “That Hole has got to go” you said. After all, it has been making you look bad for Years: that Christmas party where your in-laws saw it, and, though they said nothing at the time, had probably made them hate you even more; that accursed boy that had tried to fix it, with Duct tape no less; and worse of all, the time when He came, and I had to cover it with a pic of your dog, and hope he didn’t notice. It has been here long enough! It has been here since you got your boyfriend, since the first kiss in that tiny bath room, since the time you were no longer single. Through all those B-days and anniversaries, All the Christmas parties, all the Halloween nights, where you would tell the kids that there was someone behind it, watching them, Which I personally found very amusing, since the first time you said that I thought you …show more content…
It was there when you got your first kid, a Tiny German Shepard, and boy was he something! At first he didn’t like me, don’t know why, but it didn’t take long for him to warm up to me, I am a likable guy. It was there when you fixed the shower head, and washed the dog, both were hard to watch. It was there when you came home from that party with the flue. You were in their all night. Your husband was so mad at them for giving you that. It was there when the dog pulled the shower curtain down in the middle of the night, and instead of fixing it you threw it out and decided to go without one, which I was fine with. It was there when you two tried to have a kid, and it was there when you succeeded. When you redid the bathroom into a nursery, which I thought, at first, would never get done. It was there through all of that and so was I. Watching. I was there during that first kiss, and when your brother tried to cover it up with duct tape because he believed the story. Emery I looked around the dank tunnel before stepping aboard the train. Those around me stared out the window with blank, unfeeling expressions. Their eyes reminded me of the sky above us- gray and hopeless, afraid of the upcoming downpour. Coming home was never fun. After a successful 7 hour day at the CDC, I had washed off all potential diseases and taken a stuffy, slightly yellow tinted can with wheels and sticky seats.…

I knew we were good as dead when I tripped on a pothole. My friends and I were running along a gloomy field, and I was looking behind my back to check if our pursuers were still on our trail. Suddenly, my foot met something that wasn’t grass, a pothole hidden from sight. The entire event happened faster than my brain could comprehend, but I knew that we were inevitably going to get caught. From that moment forward, I learned that angering teenagers that are older than you is a horrible and painful idea, yet an exhilarating experience.…
