I had no clue who my opponent was, as I had never competed at the same stage as he, so my strategy was simply to go out and give the best possible effort I could. I started the match playing extremely well for my standards, yet the score was dead even at 3 games apiece. My opponent was clearly a very good player, so even while playing my best tennis, I could not create much of a lead against him. My opponent's level seemed completely out of reach when I first played him, but through dedication and hard work, I surpassed his level in just a year and a half. To this day, anytime I face a difficult task, such as completing an arduous school course or facing a challenging English assignment, I remember that by persevering and working hard, the task can be completed, no matter how difficult it may seem at first. Diligence and perseverance are universal qualities that most people know are useful, but many people do not actually implement them into completing their difficult tasks. My advice to people: USE THEM! Perseverance and diligence are not exclusive traits, so with a little bit of practice, people could utilize them to help them get through tough
