Personal Narrative: Teen Sniper

About a few weeks ago, my aunt passed away. My aunt is an important part of my childhood because she was always there to take care of me although I don’t remember any of it at all. The last time I saw her was last Christmas when my whole family my father’s side travelled to Seattle. I still remember all the places we visited so clearly that it felt like yesterday.
We went to eat right after we arrived Seattle because we had been on the plane all day. On the way to the restaurant, all you can see is mountains covered with snow. I used to get so excited to go out to the field in front of the school entrance and had a massive snowball fight with all the other boarders. That was one of my happiest moments in my life. The beauty of youth is you don’t have much to worry about except school. However, when I was reading “Teen Sniper” by Adam Johnson, it makes me appreciate how lucky I am. My parents are always there for me if I need anything. This may not be the case for everyone but I am lucky to have my parents help during my younger age. In “Teen Sniper”, the narrator has to kill people even though he was only a teenager. I cannot imagine if I was given the task

Once I told her that I wanted to build a snowman, she immediately said yes. I was so happy that she liked my idea, so I went straight to the garage and brought a big top hat, half a carrot, ten pieces of small litchi, broom hair and some children. I bolted to the door, these materials on the snow, prepared snow. Snow in my little hands, I shaped into two round balls. When my sister saw me shaped snow into two balls, told me that I am very capable. After twenty minutes, the snowman was done. It wore a hat, carrot nose pitched red, neat beard, also embedded in the clothes buttons. It looks distinctive flavor and look way better than the neighbor kids’ snowman. I was

Comparison and Contrast Essay The stories “Cranes” and “The Sniper” show us the effects of war. The themes of “Cranes” and “The Sniper” are similar due to the war tearing people apart, however, they are different because in “Cranes” the compassion prevails, while in “The Sniper” survival wins over compassion. Both stories themes show us how war reduces human life to nothing and how it tears apart families and friends but that family and friends come first. 6. I think the author wants the reader to view the sniper as a man caught in a tragic situation especially because what happened at the end. At first I thought the soldier was being foolish because he lit a cigarette when he knew people were looking for him in the night and it would make him visible. Then I thought he was brave for being shot and continuing doing his duty. At the end I felt bad for him because he shot his own brother.…

The film American Sniper is a supposed biographical film of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle. It is inspired from his book, American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History, and interviews from numerous friends and family. Initially focused on Kyle’s early life and later motivation to join the military, American Sniper then leads the audience through his four tours in Iraq, which are contrasted with his slowly worsening relationship with his wife and children, which is explained with his noted absence and untreated Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). While the director, Clint Eastwood, claims the film had “no political aspect” in its portrayal of Kyle’s actions, the film clearly appeals to justify the Iraq…

Currently, our department requires all of our officers to attend two range courses a year and the mandated yearly in-service course to maintain our certification as law enforcement officer.
