7 September, 2016 Scared One time I was at my church playing with my little sisters Teagan and Kelty and my two friends Cienna and Trinity. It was in the evening and we decided to play hide and go seek tag, but when we got out of the gym it was very scary the shadows, no lights except the one flickering light. Teagan and Kelty went too hide and when we went to go and find them we got really scared. Every time we went out a door would open then close! We thought it was a ghost. It was like a horror story coming to life the weird sounds of the air conditioning turning on and off, the moldy smell the musty furniture, it was all too scary. We thought that the church was haunted and we did not want

When draft letters were sent out some people responded were fresh out of high school, which means that they really didn’t want to go to war, but were forced to unless they were willing to flee to another country or serve prison time. All the lights went out, leaving us in almost total darkness except for the pale platinum moonlight that drifted in through the broken glass. “Look!” one of the men gasped. “There it is, over by the front door!” I turned and saw a luminous apparition twisting by the entrance.…

I started this final with this question because it was playing on my mind at this moment. The Book of Tea, was something I needed. There are many things going on in my life that I have kept quiet about. My son’s complications from surgery, my daughter’s complete mental breakdown, my husband’s heart attack, and my severe flu, which I had to ignore to care for others, all occurred within a month and a half’s time. I have found no joy in study, which normally makes me shake with excitement.…

Hello Asia, Thank you for responding to my post! I was not previously aware of his mother’s actions during his childhood, we probably watched two different videos. Finding that out has led me to believe that his mother sort of had issues too, it makes me wonder if something was wrong genetically. I think it is scary to live in a place while knowing of the horrible things that took place nearby. Reminds me of a few years ago when phoenix had a serial rapist on the loose.…

The year 2008, my name Wesley C. Coffey, my video game of choice S.L.A.I (Steel Lancer Area International) a little known, highly underrated sequel to Phantom Crash and this was the night my life would change. Like most fourteen year olds' who could stay up as late as they pleased and didn’t have access to the wonders of the world wide web, I was channel surfing for, how do I put this without sounding obscene, ‘porn’ when I came across a show by the name of X-Play, which didn’t have any smut but was chock full of that oh so sweet video game meat. My young closeted nerd mind couldn’t handle the geeky over load, after watching three back to back episodes staring the amazing Adam Sessler and magnificent Morgan Webb, it dawned on me (cue Strauss…

We had been planning on going to this old abandoned house for some time, and now we were finally going to see if it was truly haunted or not. Well, as we walked I had noticed a blueish, greenish, truck driving down the silent back road. We really didn’t pay much attention until it started to get creepy and the truck started following us. By the time we had noticed we were already close to the house and we decided to dart into the woods, to a tree that we could climb and see what was going from. Our hearts were pounding from the anxiety, and I had noticed both of us had our hands clenched around our pocket knives that were probably a little too big to be carrying around in public.…

For my interview paper, I decided to interview Katelyn Masket. Katelyn is a recent USC graduate and studied international relations. Through our interview and research on LinkedIn, I learned Katelyn had interned within multiple areas of the public sector and currently is an associate with the International Rescue Committee located in Glendale, California. Her previous background and current employment interested me and made me want to reach out and ask her views on citizenship and what it means to participate. I conducted a phone interview with Katelyn and she may be reached at (805) 558-1804 or by email at Katelyn.Masket@rescue.org.…

For me stigma is a brand that is associated with a specific person or a circumstance. The brand that is left is affiliated in a negative way. For example when something bad happen to you, you will always remember it because you will have it in your memories as a bad. At a younger age, I would say I believed that I can only trust myself and my mother, this is because as a little kid my mom would always tell me that there are bad people in the world and that giving them any information about anything can be very harmful. But as I grew up and realized what was actually happening in my country I knew there were millions of others that were suffering against the “bad people” and we could only do something about it if the whole community came together to help. It was at that time when I was about 25, when I started to put some effort into trying to establish more just conditions within my country especially after the implication of extremely high food prices. This is when I started my first strike involving my…
