Personal Narrative-Tale House

Behind my old tan house on McClure road is an open opportunity to have as much fun as you want, and as a kid I took advantage of that. I loved going out to just use my senses and explore. I would see how many different animals I could see or hear. I would listen to the birds hum their songs, and hear the chipmunks run aimlessly through the woods, cracking sticks every step of the way. Who knew such little animals could make so much noise! Sometimes I even thought they were bears! I never did see a bear. On multiple occasions I saw deer though! Sometimes I brought some of mom’s freshly baked cookies out in the woods with me and of course my dog would follow. She couldn’t resist the smell! Millie was my partner in crime when it came to exploring. A narrow path ran …show more content…
You could start to see the pretty flowers springing up through the snow. After the cold, harsh winter, the world seems to be so alive. It’s slightly breezy, but it’s a warming breeze rather than a bone chilling breeze! Spring is full of wonderful new smells that I love, but I have allergies. It’s time to take allergy medicine again, yay! But across the street from my big tan house was a small creek. I loved that small creek! There were always butterflies and comforting flowers. The creek went under the road, through a culvert pipe. The culvert pipe seemed so big, but I am not sure that it would still seem big now. We would go down the small bank on one side of the road and pop out on the other, jumping into the little water hole that didn’t go much over my thighs. My favorite part was after it rained. The creek would always be running just a little faster than normal; that was the best time to play! We could bring down our little tubes and slide out of the culvert pipe, which dropped off a little, and splashed into the water. Sometimes we had to ride the creek a little to get out of our tubes, but it narrowed back out pretty quickly so we didn’t make it very

so we ran in the wave pool. Then we started going on the water slides. There was a really fun one called the Howlin’ Tornado which had a huge drop in the beginning then you went side to side in a big funnel-shaped room then twisted out and it was over. I went on that one twice, once with my dad and friend Ally the other with my dad, Ally, and Audrey. There was…

The crisp breeze rustled my hair as I walked out of my house on the fall September day with my dad drilling instructions into my head. It was my first Little League baseball game ever, and my dad wanted to make sure it wasn’t my last. Being seven years old and never touching a baseball was something that had scared me; a lot. I had no idea what to think about this foreign, petrifying, game could possibly be about. The car ride from my house was only a few minutes away from the fields where I would begin my baseball career.…

We would get buckets, fill them up and run around chasing one another so we could throw the water on each other. Sometimes we would even get our parents wet. We would laugh so hard that our sides would hurt. All my friends would be there, we could run around, ride our bikes in the street and not worry about any cars. Playing in the street was something major to a kid.…

There’s a little slice of Heaven in Marshall, Texas, where the sun shines through the pines and the sound of cicadas serenade you throughout your afternoon and the lake shines like a plate of polished silver in the early morning sun. When I first came to Camp Fern, I was on my own. Everyone else had known each other for at least two years, so I was the odd one out. In my cabin there was the usual sort. There was the popular one, the attention seeker, the joker, and the one you love to hate.…

All the years I’ve lived on Elm Street I have never seen any sign of life in the house across the street, except a family that moved in and moved out only a few weeks later. It’s kind of mysterious actually, and I’ve always wanted to go up to it and walk in to explore. My parents have told me the things they have heard about the house, like there was an “old man whose wife passed away right there in the house, and her spirit still lurks”, maybe that’s why the families have never stayed for more than a month. Sometimes I’ve even caught myself staring at the house from my top window trying to spot things. I want to uncover the real truth about the house that I find myself overwhelmed.…

I was 13 years old, just starting off high school, when I realized what this dark cloud that’s been floating over me for the past couple of months really is. It wouldn’t be until more than a year later until I seek out professional help. It started off innocently enough as just a feeling of constant emptiness at the pit of my stomach. It slowly turned into randoms bouts of extreme rage, where I’d take out my anger physically, not just on the walls and mirrors of my childhood home and not just on my family, but on myself. I couldn’t understand why I felt this way, why I wasn’t “normal”.…

In 84 Woodcrest Road here in Georgetown, Texas, you will find not one, but two beautiful built homes surrounded by bright green trees where the wind blew the leaves and make them dance playfully across the beautiful watered dark green grass. Tiffin house was built in the year 2008 where employees work to take care of residents with alzheimers and dimentia. Here at Tiffin House i got to see how the house looks, talk to a few employees, and talk to the director on how the house flows and works. I walked in the first house called Tiffin House I, and when I first stepped inside i see a beautiful granite kitchen and a home like dining room table. I walked into the living room I suppose to call it, and I see residents sitting in recliners and sofas relaxing to the sound of calm Godly music coming from the old looking radio from the corner.…

Stepping into my house is very different from stepping into my room, because there are different decorations. Upon entering my house there are many religious pictures, pictures that depict the Mexican culture, and even the aroma is also very distinct from my bedroom. Looking at how some of the old furniture stands out reminds me of when McPhee stated, “I stepped up into a kitchen, and went on into another room that had several overstuffed chairs in it and a porcelain-topped table, where Fred Brown was seated, eating a pork chop” (96). Once stepping into my room a person will notice how I have various lights around the room and how I usually have relaxing music playing in the back ground. I’ve been told that once stepping into my room it makes…
