Not everyone has the chance to ride the Kennedy space center simulator but my opportunity came today. No more videos, it’s going to be the actual ‘thing. We walked onto a ramp that brought us to a green screen where we obtain our picture taken, and after the ride they gave us a chance to buy the picture where they edited an orange astronaut suit on us. I continued to run up and around the twist of the ramp leaving my aunt and uncle behind me. The few people in line gathered at the top of the ramp, and the waiting time went by fast since no one wanted to stand in line.…

I drove my first BMW when I was 20 years old; my boss at the time let me drive his E39 530i home. It was the most amazing thing I had ever drove and decided right then I must have a BMW once I made enough money to afford one. It was fast (to me), handled like it was on rails, quiet, comfortable, and everything a person who loves to drive could really ask for at the time; truly a “the ultimate driving…

"I am Michelangelo! " I thought to myself, as I put the finishing touches on my clay sculpture. The masterpiece stood at a monstrous height of three inches and was a grotesque combination of red, blue, and pink. As soon as I passed the starting line, the chip on my shoe started running the clock; timing how long it would take for me to make it to the finish line. I had trained for this very day in which I would run for the half marathon. Having had run several five kilometer races I never thought I would have doubled the miles. The Plane Ride When I was nine my family started a move from the tranquil suburbs of San Jose, California to the desert city of Windhoek, Namibia, located in southern Africa. My parents were taking myself, along with my younger sister and brother, around the globe because they felt a calling from God to be missionaries. All of our possessions were sold off, including my much beloved toys, until everything we had could fit into eight large suitcases. These suitcases are what we carried to the airport as we prepared for our journey. I felt no small amount of apprehension and excitement in what lay ahead of me in the new country, but an event I would experience in the coming flight would forever change and shape my perspective of how I see the…
