In December 2015, White’s boyfriend was driving on a suspended license and was stopped by police. The stop occurred near Ms. White’s home, Ms. White came out of the house yelling things at officers. Two officers repeatedly told her to stop yelling and walking closer, she refused and kept doing so. They went to arrest her and she continued yelling vulgar things. White’s lawyer claims there was no vulgarity and that she works full time at a bar. He tells the judge how full time jobs are hard to find and any jail time would make her lose her job which she needs to support her children. The state claims they have two officer’s testimonies that does in fact show Ms. White yelling vulgar things. They also said Ms. White was arrested back in 2008 and 2009 for underage drinking. The judge sentences her to 30 days in jail and 3 years of probation. The judge then said because of her full time job and her child at home, he was suspending her sentence and she was only serving 48 hours of jail time. The bailiff then came over and handcuffed Ms. White and took her out of the courtroom. The last case we got to hear was for a misdemeanor theft from Wal-Mart of under $1,000. I unfortunately missed the lady’s name. The defendant had stolen some CDs and some other goods from her local Wal-Mart. The state claims she has two prior theft convictions for under $100. She is 37 years old and work full time
