I had my hand on the reel, I moved the rod back and then forward while I let go of the line. The crankbait softly hit the surface of the water. I waited a few seconds, suddenly I saw my line move so I jerked my pole upward and yelled, “fish on”! My dad quickly grabbed the net to land the fish. The slimy, brown, 4lb fish was my first catch of the day.
