I. Felicitous I let out a long sigh as I walked along the beach’s crowded boardwalk, alone. I got through the exam without anything too weird happening, but when Shawn kept coming to the clinic every other day I knew something was up. I asked him if he really thought Jasmine was ill, or if he really wanted to learn about canine dental surgery until one night when I was finished I saw him standing outside with a bouquet of hand-picked sunflowers and weeds and he asked if he could take me out on a date.
