Many people think when someone becomes a mom they are throwing their life away. My sister Stephanie Brier thinks the opposite, she loves being a mom and everything that comes with it. Stephanie never stopped her life when she had her child she just kept on living it just as she would if nothing has changed. Stephanie was a young mom she got pregnant at the age of 16 her junior year of high school. She went into Uniontown Hospital on June 22 to get induced, and was in labor for about 12 hours. Stephanie had her brown hair blue eyed baby boy on June 23, 2011 when she was 17 and in her senior year of high school. She named him Haydn Xavier Brier after his Uncle Haydn who lives in China. Haydn is now 4 years old and will being into kindergarten and Stephanie is 21 now. Even though Stephanie became pregnant that didn’t stop her from finishing her education. Stephanie said “I decided to keep going to school and graduate because I know without a diploma my child would never have a good …show more content…
She is so loving, caring, and always there for Haydn no matter what. I asked Stephanie how being a mom came so naturally for her, she said, “Being a mom came naturally for me because I had a good role model my mom, seeing her raise my sister and brother all by herself taught me that I could do it to”. I asked Haydn if he thought his mom was a good mom and he said “My mommy is the best mommy ever I love her so much”. Overall, my sister let nothing stop her from being a good mom and still living her life. She still went to school and got her diploma and even is in college. She did all this because she wants to make sure her son can have a good life. She did have support from her family but overall it is her who does everything to be a good mom. Interviewing Stephanie made her realize how good of a mom that she is for having Haydn at such a young age and how lucky she is to have

(37) MY SATURDAY MORNINGS WERE RESERVED for Christina Heal: a devoutly religious woman who might have been older than Jesus Christ himself with a pear shaped body and hazel eyes that once twinkled upon hearing my stories. It was a particularly warm day for fall in New York; so I decided to stroll down to Ms. Heal’s office on Forty-Fourth Street. The sun glistened in the sky and the children playing baseball in the park reminded me of my conversation about baseball books with Holly from the other night at her party.…

In Bonnie Fellhoelter essay she argues that a stay at home mom is a better person to teach their child what’s right from wrong “since [mothers] naturally want what is best for her child” (paragraph 2). Although I do agree with Bonnie Fellhoelter statement “society truly does begin at home” but I do not agree with that a mother should have to stay at home just to teach their child morals (paragraph 2). By using logos, she states, “according to a non-partisan Public Agenda survey in 2000, roughly 80 percent of parents with children 5 and under say a stay-at-home parent is best able to give the children the affection and attention they need” (paragraph 3). In addition, she also uses the sweeping generalization stating that “a study done by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), reports that, kids in non-maternal care tend to be associated with qualities such as “gets in lots of fights,” “cruelty,” “explosive behavior,” “talking…

“If a woman cannot stay home with her children, then maybe she just should not have them!” Natosha Keller, my mother, is a stay at home mom who believes if a woman were to have children, her number one priority should be to take care of her children and not have to worry about anything else. On the other hand there are other mothers who do not have a choice to being a stay at home mom, and they have to work to support their family. Making the decision to stay with your children or join the workforce can be a difficult process. For a lot of parents it is damaging for them to be away from their children for more than a few hours a day, and that is a big reason why we have stay at home moms.…
