A falling out. We all have experiences of losing someone we once cared about at some point in our lifetime. Despite the frequency of these situations, it still does not soften the blow when it comes to one's own life. Specifically, with a friendship that lasted over eight years, it is understandable that it would take an unrelenting force to break it apart and this force was ironically my own friends. As much as it pains me to say this, the depression and anxiety I faced within the span of my senior year from this adversity was undoubtedly worth the happiness and confidence I proudly hold now. Being told that it will "get better in time" at the moment of chaos is reassuring to a point, but when you discover another world of happiness lies on the other side, it is a whole different story. Rising from the lowest possible point had taught me how to appreciate those around me, how to love, and most importantly how to be happy.

Callogero or "C" is an easily influenced teenager that had been shaped by his neighborhood in the Bronx. Like many of us, C was someone who went along with what his friends did. Whether he liked it or not, it was hard to be an individual when surrounded by those whose opinions are important to oneself. Like C, I did not want to go against my friends, but if I never used my voice, I would be trapped still to this day. C's father figure, Sonny represents someone who did not let anyone influence him. He was someone who went against the norm and thus, he became incredibly successful.
