Showing
Why fit in when you can stand out? Fitting in isn't unique, it's blending in with everyone around you. When you fit in you are like a blank page in the showing world. You want you and your animal to look professional and to look like a bright yet dark color on the blank page.

“The Paper”
One day at school in 4th grade my teacher passed a yellow piece of paper out to everyone in the class. It was a 4H paper, I filled it out and tried to persuade my mom into letting me join. About 2 years before I tried to get in but we didn't have time and my little brother and sister were too young. So we filled the paper out and sent it in. We later got a paper in the mail about what club we are in and when the dates and times were. I was

I was ready for it and couldn't wait any longer I only had 4 chickens at the fair and they were my favorite. One of my two roosters had a crooked beak and his name was buddy they were very young compared to the other chickens in the barn. I had washed them the night before and then a few minutes before show I wiped their feet of and did my final touches on them. I didn't know a lot about chickens then but I thought I knew everything. While I was feeding and watering the chickens my mom ran to get my number. The number was for showmanship so they knew who I was. The show started shortly after I was done with all my chores. My mom and I were waiting for about an hour before it was my turn. But then I finally went in for showmanship. I felt like I was standing waiting for my turn forever. But once I was next I was ready he asked me the questions and I answered, I had really fun with that and I wish it would have lasted longer. I didn't place but I told myself that I have next year and that I am going to study a lot beforehand. Next it was time to show my birds my mom and I carried the birds to the cages in the show ring and the judge began to work. It didn't take as long as showmanship, I was happy about that. The judge asked a few questions about my birds, he asked where I bought them from, how old they were, and what breed they were. He also told me that Buddy, the crooked beaked …show more content…
After my first Fair year was over I already had all my list of birds for next year was already made up. My advisor the first meeting reminded my mom about getting turkeys. I talked about it so much that my mom would have to say yes for me to shut up. I even made my dad say yes. Actually he was really mad and kept saying every time I brought it up that “oh we don't have any room, oh their mean and annoying”. So I told him that we weren't getting them and a week later we brought them home he didn't even know until about a week later when he actually looked at

When asked to define myself in one paper, I find it hard to show the details that I want to in the right light. When asked about my future after high school, I also have a hard time describing everything I want to get done because there are far too many things to name. The quote “ _____” (i want to be everyone and do everything and there isn’t enough life to do it all in) describes me to a tee, and I believe this college is the place I could do this in. Being a shy person for most of my life, many things were difficult for me. Specifically, last summer I had the opportunity for a summer job.…
