Brrrrrring... The noise of my alarm clock startles me. I throw off the covers on my bed, and run across the chilly floor, to stop the ear piercing noise of my alarm. I slip into the warmth of my fuzzy slippers, and head downstairs to the kitchen to start my day. I start by pouring a cup of coffee, plop onto the couch and watch the morning news. It’s snowing they say. I walk over to the window and throw open the curtain. Frost crawls up the sides of the window, and the snow glistens outside.
I scurry to my room to get my winter wardrobe out. Hmmm, I think, where did I put my boots. I scan the room looking for my boots. Oh there they are. I slap myself in the head, realizing my boots are just beside my bed. I throw my coat and boots on, and run out the door. The cold wind slaps my face. Winter has taken much away from me throughout my life. One day when I was just nine years old my parents left me alone, and traveled into the woods in search of food and wood. “Hello?”, I question with my heart pounding in my chest.The monster, still sobbing looks up. I had no intention of hurting anyone’s feelings. “I’m sorry,” I apologize to the monster, “I feel horrible, please accept my apology.” The monster stops crying and he looks at me. A warm smile spreads across my face. The monster wipes away his tears, and smiles back. “ Do you wanna play?” I ask the monster. He nods. “ I have the perfect game to play”, I say with a smirk on my face. The monster looks at me confused, I turn around and quickly make a snowball. As I turn to face the monster I throw a snowball. “ SNOWBALL FIGHT!” I yell with excitement. Together we laugh and play in the snow, all day long. Wow I think, the both of us got our wishes.
