Personal Narrative: First Day Of School

I had a great day today. It was the first day of school after Thanksgiving break, but I like almost all of my classes and have friends in all of them. Also, the track coach keeps telling me how much he wants me on the team! My dad encourages my running of multiple miles every day and loves watching me run. As I said earlier, I like MOST of my classes but not all of them. I have English with Miss Narwin, an old fashioned teacher that is way too serious when she teaches. When I cracked a joke in class today, she started yelling at me and told me to go sit by myself in the hallway. However, I was told that a girl in my English class, Allison Doresett, likes me! That is great news. At least I will enjoy English class a little bit now.

Today was terrible. Exams are coming soon and I have multiple tests this week as the first semester is coming to a close. Studying is one of my least favorite things to do, so I only study hard for my favorite subject, Math. There is no point in studying for English because Miss Narwin's lessons are awful and English essays are just opinions. Allison seems like a pretty cool girl. My dad always reminds me how girls like sports athletes. I worked out again today and delivered newspapers to earn money to buy a new pair of running

This personal narrative is going to be about the first day of Middle School and my experiences as a 6th grader. It is going to go after my emotions and other descriptive details of the first day. I still remember how the seat belt felt tightening across my chest as the car got closer to the Middle School. During that time I knew nothing about being in a big school because the biggest school i've been in was yankee ridge. (Which is really small).…

It was the first day of school at Brooklyn High school and at some ungodly hour, my cold-blooded step brother,Alex, came pounding on my closet door, saying,”Gracie, wake up, it’s time for school!” My real name is Grayson Swift, but he likes to call me Gracie, especially in front of other people. As I got out of bed, I realized I had no nice clothes to wear. All I had was a couple pairs of old jeans, hand-me-down tees, an ugly sweater, and the clothes I had from my Mom and Dad. Those were a black long-sleeve T-shirt, of the Miami Heats ,of course, white nike shorts, and nike socks.…

Today I had gold day classes which was fine and okay because nothing really excites me as much as Hist 34. In Hist 34, I got to learn all about Asian Immigrants or citizens that were in the USA in the 1800s to 1900s of how they were treated badly like the African Americans. Later that day I really loved that class but the stress was building up with the other college classes that I had. Because in all of my college classes there will always be a paper to type, and I do not have time to do my other homework especially for my first-period class, AP Econ where my grade is really poor at the time. Today at school, it is going normally like any other busy school day.…

As I went to my first day of school in a new city I was nervous, I didn't know if I was going to make any new friends, if I was going to fit in. The first day began and I immediately met Randy and Byanca, little did I know at the time that they would be my friends for all of my school career. Time went by and so did the grade levels, I would always struggle with one subject and thrive in another. During my elementary and middle school years I would struggle in language arts and history, but I would thrive in mathematics mainly because I love numbers.…

It was a Thursday night, on my first week of kindergarten. I hadn’t made many friends because I was so use to playing with my sister, that I wasn’t sure if I knew how to make friends. I wasn’t shy when I was around my immediate family, but if you would put me in a room with people that I didn’t know. Well, I wouldn’t say a word. I would be so quiet that I would just sit there and you could forget that I was in the room.…

My first day of middle school was hell, I have always been good at school. My grades have never been bad and neither have my actions and or attendance. Probably from having a mom that is also a teacher. I look at that as a good thing though, watching kids just goof off and not come to school then high school rolled around and it was like I got to look down on them because they did not prepare for bigger and better things. School wasn't bad for me because it was hard, it was bad because i was always shy in school.…

I didn’t not know what I was expecting. On the first day of high school, I stepped into a crowd of students, waiting to enter the building that would become my second home for the next four years. I didn’ not know where I would stand among these highly accomplished individuals, or if I would even amount to the standards set before me. Self-doubt began to fester inside of me as soon as I stepped through the front doors. I expected less and less of myself as time went on.…
