Personal Narrative: Soccer As A Culture

My family sees soccer as a culture. Everyone played it at some point in their life and to this day watch it actively. I’ve been playing since I figured out how to walk. Most likely two years old. In the Mexico streets, every kid in the neighborhood would come out and play day to night. On the weekends, we sometimes closed the street and played until midnight. There was always a place and the desire to play. Soccer never went out of season. It was played year round, sun or rain. It became a culture to me. Soccer taught me to always keep learning. The best players in the world have not mastered the sport. Although they stand above others, they still have a lot to learn. Each time you play soccer, you learn a new skill.
