I tell her that I'm sorry to which she replies it's no big deal. I immediately bend down to help her pick up the books. As soon as I give her the books, she begins to walk down the hallway. Without even thinking I run after her and I tell her to stop. She stops to ask me what's wrong and I start telling her how sorry I was for ending our friendship and that I miss her. The sun’s burning rays beat down on us as we dug through the layers of Egyptian sand and rock. We had only begun the excavation the previous day and had already uncovered one-fifth of the ancient pyramid. During the hike I thought a lot about my summer reading, but sadly it didn't help me face the monster... During July of 2015 I was reading Into Thin Air while driving down south. While there, my family went on a hike that was on a smaller scale of Everest, but still gave me many lessons to take away from it. It was a short but scenic drive from the place we were staying to the long, treacherous trail. My brother and I started walking at a faster pace than our parents so we arrived at the first obstacle before our parents.…

I was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas; my environment shaped me to become someone responsible, an over achiever, and a determined young man. The people who had the biggest impact on me is the woman who gave me life, my father, and my community. My mother was already there for me even before I stared walking, she was there to comfort me when I fell on my knees. She was my first teacher, the one who taught me morals and set up my standards; whenever we had a family party and all of our thirty members were together, she will make me introduce and address myself to every single one and if ever forgot to say hi to someone she will just give me a look to make realize my mistake, and I will immediately go on to that person and say sorry for…

Change is seen differently by different people. Some accept it while others deny it, depending on their values and mentality. This is seen in many places in today’s world, like political models, society’s values, and debates on environment based on science. Similar to almost everyone, life presented me with a chance of change when I was fairly young, end of 4th grade to be exact. I was asked by my parents to switch schools from a local medium to international medium of studies in India.…

The catch of her life There are many childhood memories that I cherish, but one that stands out most is going on fishing trips with my family. I’ll never forget the first time my dad and grandpa taught me , and the enthusiastic look on their face when I caught my first trout. Since then, I’ve longed for the day I could teach my own child, the way they taught me. It was two months shy of my daughters fifth birthday, and the weather was starting to warm up. Our local fishing lake had their “Trout season” sign up, and I couldn't have been more excited to finally teach my daughter how to fish.…
