Personal Narrative: She Meet The Pattons

Improved Essays
About six years ago I met a girl who was my age. We did not know each other, but our mothers did know each other. I had a good friend named Kesiah. She was just a little bit older than me. When we got together we had a lot of fun. I also had some other friends. We played together sometimes, but Kesiah was my really good friend. One day, though, that started to slowly change.

It all stared at a convention at the Mayo Clinic Area in Rochester, MN. I was playing with my friends, running around, having fun, when my Mom wanted me to meet the Patton kids. So, I went over to meet them. They were really nice, well of what I could tell. Makenah was hiding behind her mom and her sister Kinzie, was as jumpy as all get out. I wanted to meet the girl

Makenah, Kinzie, and I had a lot of fun and we really grew in our relationship as good friends. We played LPS and took some videos on a new camera we got. i watched one of the videos and it was;
“Hi Kinzie, how old are you?”
“I’m 5, I’m five years old.”
“How old are you Kenda?”
“I prefer not to answer. (laughing)”
“She’s 36, She’s 36 (Makenah yells in excitement ”
“Okay, okay!”
We had so much fun.

Another time, we had the Pattons and my aunts over for family worship. We were doing charades that night. The play we were acting out was the “The Three Hebrews That did not Bow Down.” The characters in the charade; Makenah, Cloey, Kinzie- The three hebrews. Missie, Mandy, Katie- Pharaoh and the guy who threw us into the fire and someone else. (It was a long time ago, so I don’t remember everything, so I don’t know if that is right.) Anyways, here's what happened;
“Bow down to the statue!”
“We will not bow down to statue.”
“Pharaoh, these three men will not bow down. What should we do?”
Throw them into the fire room, and turn it up high!”
The three Hebrew men were thrown in, but an angel came down and protected them.
“Who’s in there with them? I thought There was only three men!?”
“There was, I don’t know who that man is.”
“Wait, they are not burning! Take them out, right

She was the epitome of a mixture between pure innocence and quirk that boldly took her rightful place in the middle of my heart. Mary Anne wasn’t just all of that; she was also my affectionate girlfriend, my warm-hearted best friend who I could talk about anything with, from the most trivial things to the very meaning of our whole existence. At the time, all I could feel was the absolute joy that I got from spending my time with her. We had our entire happiness in the future planned out, a dream wedding and all, but maybe that was the reason why I wouldn’t have ever imagined that I would be feeling so lost and empty just a few years later, alone and missing a part of myself.…
