Personal Narrative: Seventh Grade Student Council Convention

7th Grade:

Seventh grade student council convention. It was a misty morning, the bell hadn't rang yet and we are in the teachers lounge about to leave. The only people I knew was my Matthew and Alex. Matt was like a brother to me because I’ve known him since kindergarten. Alex, I’ve known him since 4th grade. Well before we left he had sat by me, and Matt(being his brotherly self) started to tease Alex and I saying we’d be cute together. We get on the bus. Alex sits by me again and obviously Matt keeps teasing us. So, Alex looks at me and says, “Hey, you know I could barely stand these last 30 minutes of him teasing us, so how about to get him off our backs, we just d-date for the weekend only?… Just till Convention is over, then it can

By the end of the weekend he bought me a bracelet, and obviously that means he doesn't want it to last only a weekend. So we just continued dating. Also, telling my best friend, Gabby, was the hardest thing ever. Let’s just say she had a big crush on him…I had also already had a date to the dance so It was extremely awkward. The next Friday was the dance. Student council had been setting up and Alex needed to take chairs back to the cafeteria. So he asked me to come with him, me not knowing what he meant. We entered the dim, erie, empty cafeteria. He starts walking around and tells me to come over there. He puts his arms around me and tries to bring me into a kiss. Let’s just say that was the most awkward moment of my life because i had stepped back politely saying I wasn’t ready. Soon finding out that I made the right decision, be cause that same night he had grown a crush on another girl, leading to him flirting with her constantly and practically cheating on me several times. And I didn't have to guts to break up with him for 2 whole months. Just one week is all we really dated since he practically used me. But oh well, its in the past.
