Personal Narrative: Searching Through Goodreads

I have been on a craze on finding good New Adult novles to read. I noticed that most of the New Adult has similar plot-line, girl meets boy, girl and boy fall in love, boy has some form of big secret that would destroy their relationship. To be honest I am not too convinced of the general yet, with the all too familiar storyline I am afraid it would become redundant.

Searching through Goodreads, I come across Fallen Too Far, I heard good thing about the author, along with good reviews, I decided to give it a try, and I was glad!

Blaire is only 19 years old, but she have been through lot more than her typical peers. Losing her twin sister in her early teens, shortly after that her father left her and her mother, then Blaire given up her social life when her mother became ill with cancer, she also dropped out of high school because she cannot afford to go to school and take care her mother at the same time. Yeah, Blaire have been through quite a bit alright.

For Blaire, calling her estrange father wasn't her first option, but when she sold her house to pay for her mother's medical expense and funeral she know she needed a fresh start, and staying with her father temporary to save money is a smart choice. However what she find out when she arrived at the house was not what she expected.

Rush is often rude to Blaire, but also possessive with her that leave Blaire often confused with his attitude. Throughout the book I was often wondering what the secret was about, and how it would play out for Blaire and Rush, the book left me worried and eager to read book 2 Never Too Far.

Blaire was a very likable heroine that make reading Fallen Too Far quite enjoyable for me. It's hard to not like Blaire, plus she can handle gun better than most man!

If you enjoy New Adult with more heat, definitely check it out this

Hallmark 's Cedar Cove will always hold a distinctive place in my heart for a variety of reasons, and I will admit that Teryl Rothery is one of them. I was introduced to this exquisite actress through that show, and I can still remember sitting there in my chair watching her portrayal of Grace. I so identified with her character, and once I began to research Teryl 's career, I was awestruck with her versatility and extensive range of her abilities that she has had the opportunity to demonstrate over the course of her impressive career. Recently, Teryl graciously agreed to answer a few questions about her chosen profession as well as her notable (and current) sci-fi and Hallmark works. teryl-rothery-hallmark-channel-2015-winter-tca-party_1.jpg…

CANARY is an intriguing one hour proposed pilot that offers a complex and compelling female protagonist. The concept for this dramatic, crime show is also intriguing. The idea of a troubled woman coerced into spying on her friends and family to help the FBI track a domestic terrorist has appeal. However, it should be noted that some audiences may not be able to take the leap that the FBI would consider using an obviously dysfunctional woman to help track a very deadly bomber.…

The most meaningful part of this book, The River of Doubt, I believe is when Theodore Roosevelt decided to go on the journey to the Amazon. This is the most meaningful part to me because it shows how you should never give up and just because you can’t get one thing that you want doesn’t mean you can’t reach a different goal. After Roosevelt lost the presidential election in 1912 he set his eyes on one of his other passions, adventure. I believe that the purpose of this book was to show that Theodore Roosevelt wasn’t just a great president, but he was also a great explorer. It also shows the fight he had to not get discouraged after he lost the presidential election and to move on to other things.…

By adding up the amount of pages that I read and dividing it by eighteen my answer is 75 pages per week. I saw an improvement in my reading because the number of pages I read in a week had increased. I am quite satisfied and this motivates me to read more. I want to tighten up my gear and raise it to at least 100 pages per week in order to achieve my wish. Usually I would have read books that are around 100 to 200 pages, but this time it is longer than usual.…

Her marriage to her husband is interesting as well since he was contrary to most of her beliefs. Their relationship played a role between two contrary views on how to deter gang violence and an equal understanding of their positions. I would have enjoyed more of his point of view in the book, not because I agreed with him, but because it provided a spokesman what the government believes is causing change (militant police)…

When Their Eyes Were Watching God is viewed under Marxist and feminist theories, more of the meanings Zora Hurston intended comes to light. In the story, many things, people, God, and even nature itself has power, but some of that power is a product of gender, so both should be used to truly grasp the meaning of the book. The main and most forefront ‘power’ in the book is brought by the main character, Janie. She has emotion, physical, as well as financial prowess.…
