Since the age of four, every holiday and special event was with the Castillo family. For a short time, my family strayed from church and our religious beliefs, reason being we lost a sibling of ours, but this family opened our eyes and hearts to our old beliefs. Due to that fact, years later, I asked these very special people to baptize me becoming my family in Christ. This town and its people are a major part of who I am as well. Unlike major cities, you can never run into the same people twice, you do not get to know the people around you as well. I have grown up with the same group of students; coaches have become family friends even workers from the local grocery store on a name to name basis with my family. This town may be small but the people are big in their personalities and I am grateful we ended up here.
My surroundings have shaped me. I been fortunate enough that my life has been filled with the right kind of people. I would like to believe I hold the qualities of my family’s hardworking nature, my neighbors’ kind hearts and my cities open
