Personal Narrative-Sammy As A Hero

In a typical home sits a family with no other intentions than any other house on any other street. Inside contains two parents, two children and two pets all living in regular rooms. In between the dining room and living room are three white and blue bowls with little black dog prints around it, that sit on a hardwood floor. The first two bowls belong to my other dog and for water but lastly the third bowl with a small chip in it, belonged to a dog named Sammy, named after the great Sammy Sosa who played for the Chicago Cubs. The old fabric chair stood completely on fire. It illuminated the entire dark room as the embers twirled and danced off of what was once a chair, and there sat Sammy, with complete focus just shouting at the fire. My dad yelled, “Get water! Somebody get some water!” We all frantically dispersed throughout the house getting buckets, cups or whatever we could fill with water. As I ran I seemed to have kicked over sammy's bowl and knocking a tiny chip off the end. I ignored it and kept trying to find something to put this fire out. Finally after rounds and rounds of splashing the fire it finally went out. We looked down and

The first paying job that I ever had was walking my neighbor’s dogs: Sammy and Sushi. Sammy is a stunning American Cocker Spaniel with caramel fur that burns in the late afternoon sun and Sushi is an adorable Japanese Shih Tzu with black fur and white spots with nubby legs and a tongue that is always sticking out. Their eyes are impressive; when you have four chocolate orbs staring at you, it makes you feel comfortable and that everything is at ease. The two girls and I have taken several walks together over the past six or seven years, but the responsibilities involved were more than I initially expected. All good things change with age, and the same applies to loving, four-legged friends.…
