When I was younger, on a cold winter night my family was huddled around our small wood fireplace. A brown couch and a old fabric square chair stood around in the living room. After we were warm, my family and I decided to go down to the basement and play the traditional game of yahtzee. However, Sammy did not stay with. Laughter and cheering filled the air as we were rolling the dice and being competitive like we always do. After about 20 minutes we began to hear loud barks come from upstairs. Sammy would normally bark at other animals outside so we ignored it. He didn’t stop, and my dad quickly shouted “Sammy be quiet, for crying out loud!” but he would not stop. Then suddenly we began to smell smoke creep down and all of us at once rushed up the old wooden stairs and sharply turned the corner and then there it was. The old fabric chair stood completely on fire. It illuminated the entire dark room as the embers twirled and danced off of what was once a chair, and there sat Sammy, with complete focus just shouting at the fire. My dad yelled, “Get water! Somebody get some water!” We all frantically dispersed throughout the house getting buckets, cups or whatever we could fill with water. As I ran I seemed to have kicked over sammy's bowl and knocking a tiny chip off the end. I ignored it and kept trying to find something to put this fire out. Finally after rounds and rounds of splashing the fire it finally went out. We looked down and
