- I am in a Dean List every semester since I enrolled at Kellogg Community College. - I serve Youth Treasurer in our Church, and I have learned many things from that experience including the value of teamwork and time management. For example, when we did fundraising for our youth branch, we (youth members) worked together as a team and be able to finish our task easily. And, although my schedule was very tight with homework and family job, I managed my time and maintained a very good grade point…

A few qualities that i can contribute to Texas Tech include: Leadership,A willingness to take risks A sense of social responsibility and a commitment to service. For example, when i was a Kennel Tech at the Timberline Animal Hospital, one of my roles was to make sure that all of the dogs and cats had there necessary medicines at different times of the day. This required me to be on call every weekend in order to ensure that they ingested there medicine properly and were given the necessary aid. During the 1st few months of me starting this job i met with different Veterinarians and other Technicians to understand what duties and functions they would need me to do that particular day.…
For all of my life, building close relationships has been the key to my success. I form relationships successfully in a small, comfortable setting. In school, classrooms are an accessible way for myself to accomplish this with my teacher. For every teacher I was close to, the class I had with them was my top class. One of the main reasons I chose Clarkson College was because I admired it was a private college with a limited student to teacher ratio.…
Regent University was by far my favorite university I have visited. I was able to stay on campus for a weekend this past summer and experience what its like to be a regent. I stayed in a dorm with Elizabeth Landon. Elizabeth was a great representation of a Regent. She was a wonderful example of true christian leader and really showed how Christ is helping her change the world.…
My graduate experience will be light years different then my undergraduate training. I chuckle just contemplating the technological difference alone. Back when I attended undergraduate school there wasn’t the internet, the LoudCloud, e-books, or personal laptop computers. We thought we were “hot stuff” because we progressed from the slide ruler to a state of the art Texas Interment graphing calculator. By the way google informed me that my particular calculator at that time was the first of its kind.…
“Weight broke down the wagon” was something my father told me often when I was younger. He’d often tell my this in response whenever I told him I was waiting for something. Yes dad, weight broke down the wagon. You put too many things in there and something's going to give. Not until recently did I understood what he meant.…
I entered my spring semester in January of 2014 with an outstanding balance at my home institution. If I could not pay the remaining balance, I would not be allowed to return to Spelman in fall of 2014.Thankfully, I earned enough money through my internship during the summer of 2014 to pay my remaining balance down and enroll for classes. With the additional of my parents no longer able to financially supported my education. I began paying for college entirely on my own.…
When I first stepped foot on this campus, I thought I was going to be a youth minister. That all changed when I found out that I was not going to be able to return the second semester of my freshman year due to financial reasons. I had to constantly seek The Lord and see what He had in plan for me. By this time, J-Term has already started, and I was not able to return because, I needed to work in order to even attempt to come back to Oklahoma Baptist University. I went back to the high school I graduated from to talk to and help out some athletic trainers who I studied under in my high school years.…
In life, there are few places where we go and feel completely at comfort. A place where our guards are down and we can take a break from the chaotic world outside. Where you can rip off the mask of yourself that you show strangers and be truly yourself with no fear of being ridiculed. This place, for me, is Clark University. It is hard to describe in words why, but as soon as I stepped onto the grounds of the university I knew that it was where I was meant to belong.…
My time at Bethel University has been exceptional. Narrowing down to one thing I like is almost impossible. Actually, I like the flexibility I get from attending Bethel University. Getting my degree feels like it has taken me forever, but I have met tremendously great people along the way. Being able to work full-time and attend school full-time is an outstanding benefit that Bethel offers its students.…
Describe and event or an experience in my life that has influenced my academic work and goal at Colorado Christian University; it would take more than one to two pages, but I will give the short version. I call one Philip Ray and the other Aaron Jacob, they are the reason and my influence on and my goal for graduating from Colorado Christian University. I am blessed with the most precious gifts that God can give and that is my two sons. I was nineteen when I was married and pregnant with my first son Philip Ray. What in the world did I know at the age of nineteen?…
One of the toughest decisions of my life was deciding which college to attend because I had to leave my friends, family, and some of my belongings back home. When I was thinking about which college I wanted to attend, I was stuck between three choices: Missouri State University, University of Central Missouri, and Missouri Western State University. I knew whatever my decision was that it would have an impact on me immediately and for the rest of my life. I decided Missouri Western was the right college for me because I liked it more than the other two colleges I visited, this college offered the major I wanted to pursue, and the smaller campus size.…
