Finding a job here was pretty difficult for me, considering that I am an immigrate from China. I began my trek through the park thinking of all the application forms for all the office buildings that needed ink sown into the paper. Sighing, I headed to the center of the park. Suddenly with a flurry of movement and a line of green, a black cat sat on the trail blocking my way. It stared at me with Those Emerald Green Eyes, gouging into my soul and filling me with chill that struck every cell. It walked away. Its presence left me shivering in fear. I didn’t understand any of it. …show more content…
But what disturbed me was the fact that this particular cat gave me the chills right to my nerve endings. Mulling everything over I deduced that this was an isolated event and it was pure coincidence that I should feel nervous about my applications when the black at appeared. So I left that subject alone and many weeks past in which the dry autumn air turned into freezing cold winters. I finally found a good job which suited my interested most comfortably and even had a little fancy for the lady at the receptionist area. After a flirty good bye to Julie, I took my trench coat from the stand, and exposed my self to the cold, harsh winds of November. Deciding to take a cab, I hollered for a cab to come since to winds where just to unbearable to feel as they punctured my face repeatedly. After waiting for some time the cab came and I jumped into the back seat. The cab smelled of pizza and tobacco. I cringed at the smell but asked the driver to take me East New York

The pain began slowly, pricking me with its sharp needles only while doing barre in ballet once a week. I ignored it, believing it to be normal, common discomfort that would soon go away, typical thoughts of a dancer whose entire sport is centered around “good pain”. Six months later, it had escalated to the degree that every step I took felt like an arrow to my knee. Dancing had become impossible, and it was determined that I should be taken to the orthopedist. The bland, brown and beige lobby became extraordinarily familiar as I waited two hours to be examined.…

When I was young, my sister and I never got along well. Neither of us were afraid to voice our thoughts, but we had opposite personalities, so that was an enormous complication. She would constantly whine whenever I practice the violin or piano that I was too loud and it was drowning out the music she was listening to.
