It was a cold and windy night. The darkness almost made it impossible to see. The only light was the full moon illuminating the forest. The stars shone down on me like a thousand firelights. It was perfect. But some things never last, because instead of admiring the beauty of the night, I was running. Running through the forest with all the strength I had left. My legs begged me to stop while my lungs almost gave out. When I stopped to listen, the only sounds were the uneven breaths I gave out. Then I heard the sound of dogs, later followed by the light of the flashlights through the thickness of the trees. I started running again. I ran and ran until I reached a cliff. I tried to turn around to start running again, but when I did, I saw them. The yellow eyes of the monsters that wanted me dead. There were three of them. Their lips curled to show a terrifying smile. Soon the dogs came out from the bushes and shadows of the trees to stand by their owners.
I was terrified. My heart beat so hard I thought it would burst. Fear clouded my judgment and I tried to run past them. They stopped me and held me down.
