Today is the first day of school, I wake up in bed and I stare at the walls.I look at the alarm clock I got for my birthday and it’s six forty-five in the morning. I look outside the window and the sun is rising. It’s still dark but i’m very nervous today. I hear my Ma knocking on the door and I open the door. “Are you ready for school Jack,?” Ma asks
“I will be ready soon,” I replied. I take off my Dora The Explorer Pajamas off and change into a Red t-shirt and black shorts. I look at all the school supplies

I am so glad I had the priveledge to see the movie, War Room, with my Life Group. I have to admit, since applying Miss Clara's war room, my quality of prayer has greatly improve. I not only know who and what I am praying for, but I actual have strategic pray life that makes sense; that I can follow and easily adjust as God directs me because I can see Him in my plans more clearer. My target prayers go up on my bedroom wall. And I immediately receive scriptures from the Holy Spirit to use in my prayers.…

There’s a little slice of Heaven in Marshall, Texas, where the sun shines through the pines and the sound of cicadas serenade you throughout your afternoon and the lake shines like a plate of polished silver in the early morning sun. When I first came to Camp Fern, I was on my own. Everyone else had known each other for at least two years, so I was the odd one out. In my cabin there was the usual sort. There was the popular one, the attention seeker, the joker, and the one you love to hate.…

My bunny, Copper, has always been a good distraction from my troubles. He makes me laugh when I feel my lowest; he burrows with me in the blankets when I need a friend; he is a fabulous listener, and he makes even the most overcast days brighter. Whimsically jumping to the gate of the cage as I saunter into the bedroom; Copper is always jovial to see me. In addition to all this, Copper has also proven to act as an inspiration to me as well; the very center of an event that has impacted who I live as today. One small, seemingly insignificant moment that has solidified my resolve to make the best of my situation.…

What could I clean in my room for Spring Break? I could probably clean the papers lying all over my room that my little sister throws everywhere. My room is very messy with papers that have scribbles on them from my sister. I should also clean my closet because it is filled with old clothes that are too small for me to wear. I can also clean all of my sister’s toys that are under my bed.…

My right foot questionably steps onto the navy blue designed carpeted room and a rush of cool presses up against my skin. This room... this room could be the beginning of my future. That makes it terrifying, but exhilarating all at the same time. I force my trembling body to push through the nerves and my body straightens with confidence like a warrior entering his battleground. Cleanliness tickles my nose and my eyes are drawn to what looks like golden pillows on wheels.…

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

Her mom, Cate, rushed up the stairs, and got to Sarah’s door, her mind whirling with all of the damage the forceful crash may have caused. She skidded to a stop in front of the door, and nudged it open cautiously, stepping into the pitch-black room. The woman glanced around the room, and took another step forward, tripping clumsily over some clutter on the floor. Cate’s hand flew to her mouth to stifle her yelp, so she wouldn’t wake Sarah, and steadied herself by placing her hand on the cool walls. However, she recoiled when she felt a wet sensation on the walls.…

I live constantly on edge, an explosive always ready to blow, rarely comfortable in any situation, except the little bridge world of my Den. My wanderlust heart might hate being confined, but swaddled down the little gap between the wall and couch on the livingroom floor isn’t constraining, it’s safe. Barely enough room to curl up, dark under the blanket roof, and messy from weeks spent sleeping and working there, it looks more like a second-grader’s pillow fort than a teenager’s refuge from a stressful reality. I built it a few weeks ago on a whim; hauled the old white couch away from the wall and lined the new crevice with throw pillows and a soft blanket, topped with a cover to keep away prying eyes. I haven’t slept in my own bed since…

Personal Timeline Part 2 (Written Portion) • First Day of School (August 24th, 2016): This is the day it all began. I never would’ve expected this year to go as quickly as it did. Although the year passed by for me quickly, it was full of drama, friendship, sadness, stress, and an overall empty feeling. The first day was nothing remarkable, just a start to something that felt new again. That’s why I always remember the first day, it snaps me out of my summer attitude and hits me hard to prepare for the long year of hard work ahead.…
