Personal Narrative: Roller Derby

When I first started derby, I got killed. Girls from ages from 10-17 years old were crashing into me. I was 10 and had no skill at all. At practice we had to wear a lot. I had black Riedell skates, a blue helmet and mouthguard. I also had normal knee and elbow pads and wrist guards. The first few practices were difficult and I fell a lot. After every practice I was sore and everyone smelled horrible.

My first few games I did terrible . All I did was fall and get pushed around. I would get rude glances a lot. I would sometimes get shoved in between two older girls and not be able to move. After many many, practices I got a little better. I was still not very good, but my dad and grandma still came to every game. One of the
