Personal Narrative: Riding Trainer

My horseback riding trainer, Amy Scarlett, was so happy and motivational all the time. I had just moved to her barn last year and it had been nothing but great ever since. She thought i needed more trust in my pony and confidence in myself as a rider. I went to Gwyn Meadows Farm since late 2015 and last summer i was riding and she thought I didn’t put enough trust into it. We were all out in the ring after we warmed up and Amy set up the jumps. They were a lot bigger than I’m used to. Amy said to me, “If you trust Remi and yourself then you will get over this jump perfectly, but if you don’t have enough confidence in yourself then it will not go as smoothly.” So I gave Remi a pat, took a deep breath and rode up to the jump.
