Personal Narrative: Rheumatologist

In beginning of 2014 I was hit with a disease, undiagnosed at the time, was passed off as an "orthopedic" problem until one and half years later I was referred to a rheumatologist,they evaluated me for any kind of arthritis or autoimmune disorders, came back negative and I was referred to the pain clinic, then finally I was diagnosed with a neurological disease. During my freshman year I was hit, hard, but my willpower and self-motivation didn't die. I worked until I was in tears every night. I worked passed the unthinkable, I succeeded in my darkest time. I was pushed beyond the breaking point, I was in pain every day all day. I wasn't living, I was merely surviving. When I saw my name in the newspaper under the 4.0 section I felt proud,
