On 04/22/2017 I, Sgt. Smith was parked at Winfield Package Store, after doing a building check. I observed a dark colored pickup truck traveling Northbound on Miller Street coming from Miller's Cove. Once the truck stopped at the stop sign I observed the left brake light not working. I proceeded to follow behind the vehicle. The vehicle proceeded to turn left and merge onto I-30, heading towards Mt. Vernon Texas, 75457. I proceeded to check the Texas License Plate BK7-4002 thought dispatch; dispatch advised the vehicle returned to a 1996 Chevy Pickup green in color with the registration expired in February 2017.
