Several other officers arrived at that time to assist in the investigation. I made contact with another victim, Roberto Jesus Gonzales, who had lacerations to his face. Gonzales reported he had tried to stop the subjects from fighting when one of the subjects pulled out a knife and started trying to cut him. I observed Gonzales had blood all down his face, from his right eye, on both his hands and his shirt. His right eye had a cut above his eye between his eyelid and eyebrow close to his nose and then another one just below his eye that looked like it had been slashed across the eye with a knife or sharp instrument. Gonzales advised he lost his glasses in the parking lot during the altercation and wanted to know if they had been located.
San Marcos/Hays County EMS had arrived and began providing medical treatment to Gonzales, while Officer Lance Cyrus and I looked in the immediate area for Gonzales glasses. We located Gonzales glasses, a silver watch and some blood splatter on the pavement in the parking lot near the west end of building 26 and Officer Cyrus took several digital photos of the items. Officer Cyrus also took digital photos of the injuries to Gonzales face and returned his glasses to him before he was transported to Central Texas Medical Center for further medical
