Personal Narrative Report On Dog Injuries

On 03/23/17, at 4:23pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to 114 Oxley Road on a dog on dog or cat attack, known owner. I arrived at the location and spoke to victim dog owner Pete Arggriou and his wife. Prior to approaching the location, I was advised by a Franklin County Deputy Sheriff that victim dog owner did fire a gun in the air to stop the attack. Mr. Arrggriou explained that his dog was in their front yard on a tie out, when the next door neighbor’s dog a boxer mix brown and white was also outside on a tie out. The neifbors dog broke its dog collar and started attacking Mr. Arggirou. Mr. Arggirou stated that he get between both dogs trying to stop the attack. The keeper of the attacking dog was also outside trying to break up the altercation between the dogs. Mr. Arggirou eventually utilize a firearm to shot in the air, that stopped the attack. Mr. Arggirou wrote out a statement of facts in regards to the incident. I took pictures of the injuries to Mr. Arggirou dog. I asked Mr. Arggirou if he was injured during the altercation, he stated that he wasn’t. Mr. Arggirou felt the attacking dog, was only going after his dog, and was not …show more content…
Ms. Stepp admitted that the dog broke its collar and started attacking the next door neighbor’s dog. The attack was unprovoked. Ms. Stepp was injured during the altercation between the dogs, but did not want to complete a statement. Ms. Stepp advised that dog owner was on her way own to take responsibility for any violations for the incident. Brittney Hall arrived home, and was advised of the situation. Ms. Stepp had previous provided me with vaccinations records and a 2015 dog license. I advised Ms. Hall that there will be violations. She understood and complied by giving me her identification when I asked for it. I issued Ms. Hall violations for failure to license and failure to control her dog name
