Personal Narrative Report: Amanda's Collapse

Today I shadowed Amanda and it was very busy from the time I came to the time I left. When I first arrived she was in the cafeteria with the lady who had collapsed while eating. They had brought the lady back to the trauma room where they were starting to exam her to see why she may have collapsed. Amanda noticed that the patient could work her heart rate up into the 140s and she gets really upset when you would try to touch her and would freak out. We had to use the Marti translating system because she did not speak English and she wouldn’t respond to some questions. We moved her into an exam room since we never found a reason why she may have collapsed. After we had settled that patient we received a call about a three-year-old child coming
