Later that day, toward the end of the rehearsal, I sat alone on a polished miniature bench. There was a throng a people in the room mainly assembled from groups of older adults. Briskly, I searched the crowd for Ethan, but found that he wasn’t there. Soon the horde vacated and I was once again left in the room by myself. Perplexed by Ethan’s absence, I decided I should further investigate the case. I trolled over to a small round window nearby and wiped off the vapor that clung to the glass.
