Personal Narrative: Red Chief

Decent Essays
I was sitting on my comfortable couch, watching t.v. Finally, i could sit in peace and not get annoyed by Red Chief. He has been gone now for about five days and i am loving it. Beep, beep, beep! “What in the world is that,” i asked myself.I got up and went outside to the foggy air and there was little Red Chief throwing big rocks at my red truck.Oh my gosh!I told him he was going to have to leave and he said not if i make you leave first. So i got in my precious truck and drove to the farthest town i could get to.I finally got to a nice big home in the middle of no where.I got settled in to my nice house and got comfortable and watch my big screen t.v again and this time i did not have Red Chief hitting my truck with rocks.

She was one of the girliest girls I knew since grade school, with her stylish culottes and pink garments of all different shades for all different occasions. She was the epitome of a mixture between pure innocence and quirk that boldly took her rightful place in the middle of my heart. Mary Anne wasn’t just all of that; she was also my affectionate girlfriend, my warm-hearted best friend who I could talk about anything with, from the most trivial things to the very meaning of our whole existence. At the time, all I could feel was the absolute joy that I got from spending my time with her. We had our entire happiness in the future planned out, a dream wedding and all, but maybe that was the reason why I wouldn’t have ever imagined that I would be feeling so lost and empty just a few years later, alone and missing a part of myself.…

Over the years and years spent on studying mythology, Joseph Campbell came up with the concept of The Hero’s Journey. The Hero’s Journey states that all hero’s travel in a similar path and go through many similar stages that’ll lead them to their reward. However, not every hero’s journey has to involve obstacles as in slaying a dragon or trying to save the world. In my case, I had to do nothing but trying to make it through sixth grade year. Sadly, sixth grade was the year that I faced the most challenges, real world challenges at least.…
