Personal Narrative: Reality Is Only An Illusion

One of the most intriguing and intellectual experiences of my life was searching for a senior quote. After much deliberation, I settled upon one by Albert Einstein, “Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” This quote was one which provoked more thought and philosophical reasoning than any other I have encountered in my life. I began to realize that, in truth, objective reality is a figment of our imaginations. It is an unattainable ideal that humans will never reach. The information we hold most purely factual, such as colors, smells, tastes, touches and sounds cannot be objective.
